Wisdom and discernment are needed to decipher GOD"S voice from your own and from Satan's.
WHOEVER TRUSTS IN HIS OWN MIND IS A FOOL, BUT HE WHO WALKS IN WISDOM WILL BE DELIVERED.

If you are living in deliberate sin... this can block GOD"S voice.
“We know that GOD does not listen to sinners. He listens to the Godly person that does his will.”

If you are pursuing the flesh... lust, greed, pride. GOD will not speak to you.
Jesus answered, "I tell you the truth, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the Spirit. Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit. You should not be surprised at my saying, `You must be born again. '
JOHN 3:5-7
If you are too busy for GOD... you will miss hearing his voice. GOD does not shout. He will not demand your attention... his voice is one of authority and unmistakable calm... but your full attention is needed to properly discern what GOD is saying to you.
HERE I AM I STAND AT THE DOOR AND KNOCK. IF ANYONE HEARS MY VOICE AND OPENS THE DOOR, I WILL COME IN AND EAT WITH THAT PERSON AND THEY WITH ME.
REVELATION 3:20
If you need wisdom - ask GOD.
If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. Such a person is double-minded and unstable in all they do.

HOW DOES GOD SPEAK TO US?
1.The primary source of GOD'S voice is the BIBLE. He has supplied us with a manual of how to live.
ALL SCRIPTURE IS GOD-BREATHED AND IS USEFUL FOR TEACHING, REBUKING, CORRECTING AND TRAINING IN RIGHTEOUSNESS.

2. GOD also speaks to us through prayer. Prayer is not simply our petitioning GOD for our wants. It is our conversations with GOD.
“This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us”.
1 JOHN 5:14
3. Dreams are also a means GOD uses to speak to us. Next time you awake from a dream, jot it down on paper. If you fall back asleep you will not remember it.
4. Our intuition is the Holy Spirit speaking to us. Listen to that inner voice. Often it is a warning.
5. An important means GOD uses is meditation on his word. Remember to sit with GOD and give him space to answer.
KEEP THE BOOK OF THE LAW ALWAYS ON YOUR LIPS, MEDITATE ON IT DAY AND NIGHT, SO THAT YOU MAY BE CAREFUL TO DO EVERYTHING WRITTEN IN IT. THEN YOU WILL BE PROSPEROUS AND SUCCESSFUL.

6. GOD will also use other people to give you messages. Sometimes strangers and sometimes wise people you know.
7. Finally if you want to hear GOD's voice, and you need an answer to an important area of your life... just ask GOD. If we have given our lives to him, he will answer us.
CALL TO ME AND I WILL ANSWER YOU AND TELL YOU GREAT AND UNSEARCHABLE THINGS THAT YOU DO NOT KNOW.

HOW DO YOU KNOW IT IS GOD'S VOICE?
1. IT IS IN ACCORDANCE WITH SCRIPTURE.
2. IT IS THE RIGHT THING TO DO.
3. IT MAY NOT BE WHAT YOU WANT TO DO.
4. YOU FEEL AT PEACE WITH THE DECISION.
5. YOU ARE NOT ASHAMED.
6. YOU ARE NOT FEARFUL.
