How much time do you spend with God, getting to know Him better?
Recently, I started a new friendship. The more time I spent with my new friend, the more she started opening up to me and started trusting me with her problems and intimate secrets. She would say that she felt lighter after talking to me.
That is what it’s like when we start spending time in God’s presence. We can lay our problems, worries, fears and anxieties at His feet.
Cast your cares on the Lord and He will sustain you, he will never let the righteous be shaken. (Psalm 55:22).
God is yearning to spend more time with you. His ears are always attentive to our cries for help.
We can trust Him fully to keep our secrets. He will rescue us. He will protect us. He will help us. He will lighten our burdens. Once we start spending more of our time with our Lord and Saviour in prayer, reading His word and in worship and praise to Him, He turns our sadness into pure joy.
